Reposting refers to the act of sharing another member’s post on social media. Examples of reposting on various platforms include regramming, repinning, and retweeting. Labelling content as a repost can have negative connotations, implying that the user is misrepresenting the reposted content as their own or suggesting that the content is uninteresting because it has been posted before. Alternatively, posts may be self-identified as reposts in order to emphasize their importance, .e.g., “Reposting for visibility.”
